ഇന്ത്യ, നേപ്പാൾ, ബംഗ്ലാദേശ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ കാണുന്ന ഒരു തവളയാണ് ബലൂൺ തവള. Indian globular frog, Indian balloon frog, grey balloon frog, greater balloon frog എന്നെല്ലാം പേരുകളുണ്ട്. (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Uperodon globulosus). ഐ യു സി എൻ പട്ടികപ്രകാരമുള്ള പരിപാലന സ്ഥിതി നിലനിൽപ്പ് ആശങ്കാജനകമല്ലാത്ത ജീവിവർഗ്ഗങ്ങൾ എന്നാണ്. പശ്ചിമഘട്ടത്തിൽ നിന്നും ശേഖരിച്ചവ പുതിയൊരു സ്പീഷിസ് ആവാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നു. തടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ തവള ഇതിന്റെ ബന്ധുവായ വെണ്ണക്കൽ ബലൂൺ തവളയേക്കാൾ തടിയുള്ളതാണ്. മൂക്കു മുതൽ പിൻഭാഗം വരെ 76 mm (3 in) നീളമുണ്ട്.[3] കാടുകളിലും കൃഷിയിടങ്ങളിലും കണ്ടുവരുന്നു.[1]
