പശ്ചിമഘട്ടതദ്ദേശവാസിയായ ഒരു തവളയാണ് കെംഫോളേ രാത്തവള അഥവാ Kempholey Night Frog. (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Nyctibatrachus kempholeyensis). ഐ യു സി എൻ പട്ടികപ്രകാരമുള്ള പരിപാലന സ്ഥിതി വസ്തുതകൾ അപര്യാപ്തമായ സ്പീഷിസുകൾ എന്നാണ്. നാരായണ റാവു കണ്ടുപിടിച്ച ഈ തവള 74 വർഷത്തോളം വംശനാശം വന്നുപോയി എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് ബിജുവാണ് ഇതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.[2][3]
