പശ്ചിമഘട്ടത്തിലെ ആനമല കുന്നുകളിൽ കണ്ടുവരുന്ന ഗുരുതരമായ വംശനാശ ഭീഷണിയുള്ള ഒരു തവളവർഗ്ഗമാണ് ചൊറിയൻ പാറത്തവള (Indirana phrynoderma ).[2] വളരെ അപൂർവ്വമായ ഈ തവള സ്പീഷ്യസ് ഇലപൊഴിയുന്ന ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ മഴക്കാടുകളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു. മരം ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതുമൂലം ഗുരുതരമായ ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥാ ഭീഷണി നേരിട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ് ഈ തവള[1].
