പശ്ചിമഘട്ടതദ്ദേശവാസിയായ ഒരു തവളയാണ് തീവയറൻ നീർചൊറിയൻ അഥവാ Malabar Torrent Toad (Black Torrent Toad , Ornate Toad). (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Ghatophryne ornata). ഐ യു സി എൻ പട്ടികപ്രകാരമുള്ള പരിപാലന സ്ഥിതി വംശനാശ ഭീഷണി നേരിടുന്ന ജീവികൾ എന്നാണ്.[1][2][3]
