പശ്ചിമഘട്ടതദ്ദേശവാസിയായ ഒരു തവളയാണ് ആനമല ബലൂതവള അഥവാ Anamalai Balloon Frog (Anamalai Balloon Frog, Anamalai dot frog, Anamalai ramanella, or reddish-brown microhylid frog). (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Uperodon anamalaiensis). ഐ യു സി എൻ പട്ടികപ്രകാരമുള്ള പരിപാലന സ്ഥിതി വസ്തുതകൾ അപര്യാപ്തമായ സ്പീഷിസുകൾ എന്നാണ്. കോയമ്പത്തൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ ആനമലയുഏ താഴ്‌വാരത്തുനിന്നും ഇതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയ ഏക സ്പെസിമൻ നഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയുണ്ടായി.[2] 2010 വരെ ഈ സ്പീഷിസിന്റെ അവസ്ഥയെപ്പറ്റി അറിവുണ്ടാകാതിരിക്കുകയും, 2010 ൽ പറമ്പിക്കുളം ദേശീയോദ്യാനത്തിൽ വച്ച് കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. മുൻപ് 1937 -ൽ റാവു ഒരേ ഒരു തവണ ഇതിനെ കണ്ടെത്റ്റിയ റീപ്പോർട്ടേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ.

എസ്. പി. വിജയകുമാർ, അനിൽ സക്കറിയ, ഡേവിഡ് രാജു, എസ്. ഡി. ബിജു എന്നിവർ പറമ്പിഒക്കുളത്തു പല സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും ഈ തവളയെ കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[3]
