റാണിക്സിഡേ (Ranixalidae) തവളകുടുംബത്തിലെ ഏകജനുസാണ് ഇൻഡിറാണ (Indirana).[1][2] ഈ തവളകൾ പശ്ചിമഘട്ടതദ്ദേശവാസികൾ ആണ്. പൊതുവേ ഇന്ത്യൻ തവളകൾ എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.[3][1][4]

മറ്റെല്ലാ തവളകളിൽ നിന്നും വിട്ടുമാറി 5 കോടി വർഷങ്ങൾക്കുമുൻപ് വിട്ടുമാറി വന്നവയാണ് ഇവ. ഇൻഡിറാണ ഗുണ്ഡിയയെ അതിനാൽത്തന്നെ പരിണാമത്തിന്റെ വ്യത്യസ്തമായ 100 ഭീഷണിയുള്ള ഉഭയജീവികളിൽ പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.[5]

വിവരണം[തിരുത്തുക]

ചെറിയ മെലിഞ്ഞശരീരത്തോടുകൂടിയ തവളകളാണ് ഇവ. അരുവികളുടെ തീരത്തുയ്ം വീണുകിടക്കുന്ന ഇലകളുടെ അടിയിലും ഇവയെ കണ്ടുവരുന്നു.[4] ഭീഷണിയിൽ നിന്നും രക്ഷനേടാൻ ഉതകുന്ന അവയവങ്ങളും വാലും വാൽമാക്രിക്ക് ഉണ്ട്.[5][6]

വർഗവിഭജനം[തിരുത്തുക]

ഇൻഡിറാണ എന്ന ഏകജനുസ് ഉള്ള റാണിക്സാലിഡേ എന്ന കുടുംബം ഇന്ന് നല്ല അംഗീകാരം നേടിയ വർഗ്ഗീകരണമാണെങ്കിലും.[1][2][4][7] നേരത്തെ അങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നില്ല. നിക്ടിബട്രാക്കസിലും[8] പെട്രോപെഡിറ്റിഡേ(Petropedetidae)യിലും ഇവയെ പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.[9] Darrel R. Frost et al. (2006).[10][11]

സ്പീഷിസുകൾ[തിരുത്തുക]

ഇപ്പോഴും ഇവയിൽ പുതിയസ്പീഷിസുകളെ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഗോവയിലെ നേത്രവാലി വന്യജീവി ഉദ്യാനത്തിൽ Indirana salelkari  -യെ 2015 ജൂലൈയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി.[12] ഈ ജനുസിലെ സ്പീഷിസുകൾ:[3]
