സപുഷ്പികളിൽപെടുന്ന സസ്യകുടുംബമാണ് പോളിമോണിയേസീ (Polemoniaceae). 25 ജീനസ്സുകളിലായി ഏകദേശം 270-400 സ്പീഷിസുകളാണ് ഈ സസ്യകുടുംബത്തിലുള്ളത്. ഈ സസ്യകുടുംബത്തിൽ ഏകവർഷിസസ്യങ്ങളും ചിരസ്ഥായിസസ്യങ്ങളും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്. ഉത്തരാർദ്ധഗോളം, തെക്കേ അമേരിക്ക,  വടക്കേ അമേരിക്കയുടെ പടിഞ്ഞാറുഭാഗങ്ങൾ, പ്രധാനമായും കാലിഫോർണിയ എന്നിവിടങ്ങെളിലാണിവയെ പ്രധാനമായും കാണപ്പെടുന്നത്.
