തമിഴ്നാടിന്റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറു ഭാഗത്തായി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ജില്ലയാണ് ഈറോഡ്‌ ജില്ല (തമിഴ് : ஈரோடு மாவட்டம்). ഈറോഡ് പട്ടണമാണ് ഈ ജില്ലയുടെ ആസ്ഥാനം. 1996 വരെ ഈ ജില്ല പെരിയാർ ജില്ല എന്നാണ് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്. 1979 സെപ്തംബർ പതിനേഴാം തീയതി കോയമ്പത്തൂർ ജില്ല വിഭജിച്ചാണ് ഈറോഡ്‌ ജില്ല രൂപം കൊണ്ടത്. പ്രശസ്ത ഗണിത ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ രാമാനുജനും പ്രശസ്ത സാമൂഹിക പ്രവർത്തകനായ പെരിയാറും ഈ ജില്ലക്കാരാണ്.
