2011 ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രീമിയർ ലീഗ് അഥവാ ഐ.പി.എൽ. 2011, ബി.സി.സി.ഐ . 2007-ൽ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ട്വെന്റി20 ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ലീഗായ ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രീമിയർ ലീഗിന്റെ നാലാമത്തെ സീസണാണ്. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ വിവിധ നഗരങ്ങളിലായി നടന്ന ഈ മത്സരങ്ങളുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെന്നൈയിലെ ചെപ്പോക്ക് സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിൽ നടന്നു. 2011 ഏപ്രിൽ 8 മുതൽ 2011 മേയ് 28 വരെയാണ് മത്സരങ്ങൾ നടന്നത്[1]. പൂനെ വാരിയേർസ്, കൊച്ചി ടസ്കേഴ്സ് കേരള എന്നീ രണ്ടു ടീമുകൾ കൂടെ ഇത്തവണത്തെ ഐ.പി.എല്ലിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു.

2011 മേയ് 28-നു് ചെന്നൈയിൽ വെച്ചു നടന്ന ഫൈനലിൽ ബാംഗ്ലൂർ റോയൽ ചാലഞ്ചേഴ്സിനെ 58 റൺസിനു പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തി ചെന്നൈ സൂപ്പർ കിംഗ്സ് ജേതാക്കളായി[2]. ബാംഗ്ലൂർ റോയൽ ചാലഞ്ചേർസ് കളിക്കാരനായ ക്രിസ് ഗെയ്‌ൽ ഏറ്റവുമധികം റൺസെടുത്ത കളിക്കാരനും, ടൂർണ്ണമെന്റിലെ മികച്ച കളിക്കാരനുമായി[3][4] . ഗെയ്‌ൽ 608 റൺസും 8 വിക്കറ്റുകളും നേടി. മുംബൈ ഇന്ത്യൻസിന്റെ ലസിത്ത് മലിംഗ ഏറ്റവുമധികം വിക്കറ്റെടുത്ത കളിക്കാരനായി[5]. 28 വിക്കറ്റുകളാണ് മലിംഗ നേടിയത്. ചെന്നൈ, ബാംഗ്ലൂർ, മുംബൈ എന്നീ ടീമുകൾ സെപ്റ്റംബറിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ചാമ്പ്യൻസ് ലീഗിൽ കളിക്കാൻ അർഹത നേടി.

മത്സരക്രമം[തിരുത്തുക]

പുതുതായി രണ്ടു ടീമുകൾ കൂടി എത്തിയതോടെ 2011-ലെ ഐ.പി.എൽ മുതൽ ഒരു പുതിയ മത്സരക്രമം ആണു് ഐ.പി.എല്ലിൽ സ്വീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ ക്രമപ്രകാരം ആകെ 74 മത്സരങ്ങളാണുണ്ടാകുക. ഇവിടെ ആകെയുള്ള പത്തു ടീമുകളെ രണ്ടു ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളായി വിഭജിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
