ഇന്ത്യയിലെ നെഫ്രോളജിയുടെ തുടക്കക്കാരനായ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ നെഫ്രോളജിസ്റ്റ് ആണ് മുത്തു കൃഷ്ണ മണി. ചെന്നൈയിലെ അപ്പോളോ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിലെ മുൻ നെഫ്രോളജി വിഭാഗം മേധാവിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം. [1] വൃക്കസംബന്ധമായ അസുഖം ബാധിച്ച ജയപ്രകാശ് നാരായണനെ ചികിത്സിച്ചതിൽ പ്രശസ്തനാണ്. 1991 ൽ ഇന്ത്യാ ഗവൺമെന്റ് പത്മഭൂഷൻ അവാർഡ് നൽകി [2] ധന്വന്തരി അവാർഡും (2011) രവീന്ദ്രനാഥ ടാഗോർ അവാർഡും അദ്ദേഹം നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. 125 ഓളം മെഡിക്കൽ പ്രബന്ധങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം നടത്തിയ പ്രസംഗങ്ങളിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ സൊസൈറ്റി ഓഫ് നെഫ്രോളജിയുടെ 2018 ലെ ഡോ. പത്രോസ് മത്തായി മെമ്മോറിയൽ ഓറേഷൻ (തെക്കൻ അധ്യായം - ഐ‌എസ്‌എൻ‌എസ്‌സി) ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.
