പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ പേരുകൾ കേൾക്കുകയോ എഴുതുകയോ പറയുകയോ ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ മുസ്ലിംകൾ അവരുടെ മേൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ രക്ഷയുണ്ടാവട്ടെ എന്ന് പറയാറുണ്ട്,‘അലൈഹി സ്സലാം’,‘സ്വല്ലള്ളാഹു അലൈഹി വ സല്ലം’എന്നിങ്ങനെ അതാണ് പല ലേഖനങ്ങളിലും ബ്രാകറ്റിൽ (സ),(അ) എന്ന ചുരുക്ക രൂപത്തിൽ എഴുതി കാണുന്നത്,ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ Peace be upon him എന്നതിനെ ചുരുക്കി (pbuh)എന്ന് എഴുത്തുകളിൽ കാണാം. മുകളിൽ പറഞ്ഞ എല്ലാം പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ പേര് കേട്ടാലും മുസ്ലിംകൾ ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കാറുണ്ട്. അവരെ മുഴുവൻ പ്രവാചകന്മാരാണെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കൽ ഓരോ മുസ്ലിമിനും നിർബന്ധമാണ്.
