റുബെല്ല രോഗം പ്രതിരോധിക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന വാക്സിനാണ് റുബെല്ലവാക്സിൻ (Rubella vaccine).[1] ആദ്യ ഡോസിനു ശേഷം 2 ആഴ്ചയ്ക്കകം ഫലം കണ്ട് തുടങ്ങും, എകദേശം 95%ആളുകളിലും ഫലപ്രദമാണ്. നല്ല രീതിയിൽ പ്രതിരോധ പരിപാടികൾ നടക്കുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ റുബെല്ല രോഗം കാണപ്പെടുന്നില്ല. കുട്ടികളിൽ പ്രതിരോധ പരിപാടികൾ കുറവായ ജനസമൂഹങ്ങളിൽ ശരിയായ പ്രതിരോധ കുത്തിവെപ്പ് കിട്ടാതെ പെൺകുട്ടികൾ അമ്മമാർ ആവുന്നതിനാൽ ആ പ്രദേശത്ത് റുബെല്ല രോഗം കാണാൻ സാധ്യത കൂടുതലാണ്.[1]
