ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം തന്നെ കണ്ടുവരുന്നൊരു ചെറിയ ചെടിയാണ് ചിത്തിരപ്പാല. (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം : Euphorbia hirta). ഇതിനെ ആസ്ത്മ ചെടി എന്നു വിളിക്കാറുണ്ട്.[1] അമേരിക്കകളിലെ ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാപ്രദേശങ്ങളാണ് ജന്മദേശം.[2] ഇന്ത്യയിലെയും ആസ്ത്രേലിയയിലെയും ചൂടേറിയ തുറസ്സായ പുൽമേടുകളിലും വഴിയോരങ്ങളിലും എത്തിച്ചേർന്ന ഒരു ചെടിയാണ് ഇത്. നാട്ടുവൈദ്യത്തിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കാറുണ്ട്.
