2014 ലെ ചരിത്ര സിനിമയായ Njinga: Queen Of Angola എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ പെരേരയുടെ വേഷം അവരെ കൂടുതൽ ശ്രദ്ധ പിടിച്ചുപറ്റി. കൊളോണിയൽ യജമാനന്മാരുമായി ഒരു അംഗോളൻ രാജ്ഞി എങ്ങനെ എതിർ സ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ വഹിച്ചു എന്നതിന്റെ കഥയാണ് ചിത്രം പറയുന്നത്.[8] ലണ്ടൻ ഉൾപ്പെടെ നിരവധി രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ചിത്രം പ്രദർശിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഫിലിം ആഫ്രിക്കയുടെ ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവൽ സമയത്ത്, സിനിമയ്ക്കായി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട ടിക്കറ്റുകളുടെ എണ്ണം ലഭ്യമായ സീറ്റുകളേക്കാൾ വളരെ കൂടുതലാണ്. സിനിമയുടെ കാഴ്ചക്കാരെ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളാൻ സംഘാടകർക്ക് ഒരു വലിയ മുറിയിലേക്ക് മാറേണ്ടി വന്നു.[2]
