ജീവചരിത്രം[തിരുത്തുക]

നോർവേയിലെ ഹൗഗെസണ്ടിൽ ജനിച്ച യോൺ ഒലാവ് ഫൊസ്സ വളർന്നത് സ്ട്രാൻഡെബാമിലാണ് . [3] ഏഴാം വയസ്സിലുണ്ടായ ഗുരുതരമായ അപകടം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ മരണത്തിന്റെ വക്കിലെത്തിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഈ അനുഭവം ഭാവിയിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ എഴുത്തിനെ കാര്യമായി സ്വാധീനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. [4] അദ്ദേഹം ബെർഗൻ സർവ്വകലാശാലയിൽ ചേരുകയും താരതമ്യ സാഹിത്യം പഠിക്കുകയും പിന്നീട് ഒരു സാഹിത്യ ജീവിതം ആരംഭിക്കുകയും നോർവീജിയൻ ഭാഷയുടെ രണ്ട് ലിഖിത മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങളിലൊന്നായ നൈനോർസ്കിൽ എഴുതുകയും ചെയ്തു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ നോവൽ, Raudt, svart ( ചുവപ്പ്, കറുപ്പ് ) [5] 1983-ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ നാടകമായ ഓഗ് ആൽഡ്രി സ്‌കാൽ വി സ്കിൽജസ്റ്റ് ( ആൻഡ് വി വിൽ നെവർ ബി വേർഡ് ) 1994-ൽ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുകയും പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. നോവലുകൾ, ചെറുകഥകൾ, കവിതകൾ, കുട്ടികളുടെ പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ, ലേഖനങ്ങൾ, നാടകങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ ഫൊസ്സ എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. നാൽപ്പതിലധികം ഭാഷകളിലേക്ക് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൃതികൾ വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു വയലിൻ വാദകനുമാണ്. [5] കൗമാരപ്രായത്തിലുള്ള എഴുത്ത് പരിശീലനത്തിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും സംഗീത ശകലങ്ങൾക്കായി സ്വന്തം വരികൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.

അംഗീകാരം[തിരുത്തുക]

ഹെൻറിക് ഇബ്സൻ കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച നോർവീജിയൻ നാടകകൃത്താണ് ഫൊസ്സ. "പുതിയ ഹെൻറിക് ഇബ്‌സെൻ" [1] എന്നു പലപ്പോഴും വിളിക്കാറുള്ള അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൃതികൾ 19-ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ ഹെൻറിക് ഇബ്‌സൻ സ്ഥാപിച്ച പാരമ്പര്യത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ആധുനിക തുടർച്ചയായും കരുതുന്നു. 2003-ൽ ഫ്രാൻസിലെ ഓർഡ്രെ നാഷണൽ ഡു മെറിറ്റിന്റെ ഷെവലിയറായി ഫൊസ്സയെ നിയമിച്ചു [8] ദ ഡെയ്‌ലി ടെലിഗ്രാഫിന്റെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന 100 മികച്ച പ്രതിഭകളുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ ഫൊസ്സ 83-ാം സ്ഥാനവും നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. [9]

2011 മുതൽ, നോർവീജിയൻ സ്റ്റേറ്റിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ളതും ഓസ്ലോ നഗരമധ്യത്തിലെ റോയൽ പാലസിന്റെ പരിസരത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നതുമായ ഒരു ഓണററി വസതിയായ ഗ്രോട്ടൻ ഫൊസ്സയ്ക്ക് ലഭിച്ചു. [10] നോർവീജിയൻ കലകൾക്കും സംസ്‌കാരത്തിനും നൽകിയ സംഭാവനകൾക്ക് നോർവേ രാജാവ് പ്രത്യേകം നൽകുന്ന ബഹുമതിയാണ് ഗ്രോട്ടണിനെ സ്ഥിരം വസതിയായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.

2011-ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ബൈബിളിന്റെ നോർവീജിയൻ പരിഭാഷയായ ബിബെൽ 2011 -ന്റെ സാഹിത്യ ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കളിൽ ഒരാളായിരുന്നു ഫൊസ്സ

അൻഡ്‌വേക്ക് ( <i id="mwVA">വേക്ക്‌ഫുൾനെസ്</i> ), ഒലാവ്‌സ് ഡ്രോമർ ( ഒലാവിന്റെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ ), ക്വെൽഡ്‌സ്‌വാവ്ഡ് ( <i id="mwWg">തളർച്ച</i> ) എന്നീ ട്രൈലോജികൾക്ക് 2015-ലെ നോർഡിക് കൗൺസിലിന്റെ സാഹിത്യ പുരസ്‌കാരം ഫൊസ്സയ്ക്ക് ലഭിച്ചു. [11]

ഫൊസ്സയുടെ നിരവധി കൃതികൾ പേർഷ്യൻ ഭാഷയിലേക്ക് മുഹമ്മദ് ഹമദ് വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്, കൂടാതെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നാടകങ്ങൾ ഇറാനിലെ ടെഹ്‌റാനിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. [12] [13]

2022 ഏപ്രിലിൽ, ഡാമിയോൺ സെർൽസ് ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലേക്ക് വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്ത അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നോവൽ എ ന്യൂ നെയിം: സെപ്റ്റോളജി VI-VII, ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ബുക്കർ പ്രൈസിനായി ഷോർട്ട്‌ലിസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഫിക്ഷനിലെ 2023 ലെ നാഷണൽ ബുക്ക് ക്രിട്ടിക്‌സ് സർക്കിൾ അവാർഡിനുള്ള ഫൈനലിസ്റ്റായി ഈ പുസ്തകം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. [14]

2023 ഒക്‌ടോബറിൽ ഫൊസ്സയ്ക്ക് സാഹിത്യത്തിനുള്ള നൊബേൽ സമ്മാനം ലഭിച്ചു.

നോവലുകൾ എഴുതുന്നതിനിടയിൽ മറ്റ് എഴുത്തുകാരുടെ കൃതികളുടെ വിവർത്തകനായി ഫൊസ്സ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. [5]

വ്യക്തിജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]

ഓസ്ട്രിയയിലെ ഹെയ്ൻബർഗ് ആൻ ഡെർ ഡൊനാവിൽ സ്ലോവാക് വംശജയായ തന്റെ രണ്ടാം ഭാര്യയോടൊപ്പം അദ്ദേഹം ചില സമയങ്ങളിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ബെർഗനിൽ ഒരു വീടും പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ നോർവേയിൽ രണ്ട് വീടുകളും കൂടിയുണ്ട്. [5] യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ ചർച്ച് ഓഫ് നോർവേയിലെ അംഗമായിരുന്നു (2012-ന് മുമ്പ് അദ്ദേഹം നിരീശ്വരവാദിയാണെന്ന് സ്വയം വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും), 2012-2013-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം കത്തോലിക്കാ സഭയിൽ ചേർന്നു, ദീർഘകാലമായുള്ള മദ്യപാനസ്വഭാവത്തിൽ നിന്നും മുക്തിനേടാൻ സ്വയംതന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചിരുന്നു.
