Wikipedians of Ernakulam and adjoining districts celebrated the tenth anniversary of Malayalam Wikipedia celebrated its anniversary on the 23rd of December 2012 at Kaloor, Ernakulam. 82 people participated in the event. This included wikipedians, prominent personalities and those who desired to be a part of Malayalam wikipedia.

Morning 09:30 – 10:00	Registration. Malayalam wiki ready reckoner and handbooks were handed out to all registered participants.
10:00 - 10.45	Birthday celebrations	Inauguration:Senior wikipedian G. Balachandran Presidential address: Adarsh V.K. Welcome speech: Sivahari Nandakumar Felicitations: Prakash Bare & A. Sahadevan. Gratitude speech: Ajay Balachandran	Prakash Bare talked about various topics including the challenges faced by Malayalam cultural space and piracy. He also promised his help to the project. Along with his heartfelt felicitations A. Sahadevan revealed that he is a constant user and a (financial) contributor to Wikimedia Foundation.
11.05 - 11.15	An overview of Wikipedia	Netha Hussain	Her presentation focused on the importance of Wikipedia. She gave an overview of the different Wiki Projects as well.
11.15 – 11.30	Tea
11.30 - 12.00 Noon	Wikipedia - Overview of Current Scenario	Kannan Shanmugham	His lucid presentation gave an in-depth analysis of current status of the different Wiki projects like Malayalam Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikiquote, Wikisource etc.
12.00 noon - 12.30	Open forum	Participants	Self introduction and sharing the ideas about the Wikipedia. Advocate Sujith, Viswaprabha & Sivahari Nandakumar encouraged and took the program forward.
12.30 – 01.30	Lunch
01.30 - 02.45	Seminar /Symposium Wikipeida and Malayalam Computing	Moderator: V.K. Adarsh Presentor: Vishwaprabha & K. V. Anilkumar	The session dealt with the symbiotic relationship between Malayalam Wikipedia and development of Malayalam Computing. The challenges and solutions were also discussed.
02.45 - 03.00	Cake Cutting Ceremony	K. Venu	He participated in the celebrations of Wikipedians by Cutting the Birthday Cake. He created an account on Wikipedia and announced that he is relinquishing his rights to his book Prapanchavum Manushyanum and donated it for wikisource.
03.00 - 04.00	Wikipedia Workshop	Sivahari Nandakumar & Manoj K. Mohan	Practical aspects of Wiki editing was imparted to the participants. Other wikipedians lent a helping hand by interacting with the participants.
04.00 – 04.10	Tea
04.10 – 04.40	Adding the Complete works of Edappally Raghavan Pillai to Wikisource	Participants	This event was a gift given to the host district by the Wikipedians. This also served as a practical experience for the participants in Wiki editing. Mr. Joseph Thomas (of Appropriate Technology Promotion Society), the President of Free Software Movement of India, released the complete works in Wikisource.
04.40 – 05.00	Conclusion	Prof Johnson A. J.	The participants and the organizers were thanked. T Shirts and stickers were distributed to the participants.
