സിറ്റാക്കുലിഡേ കുടുംബത്തിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന തത്തയുടെ ഒരു ഇനം ആണ് ഡസ്ക്കി ലോറി (Pseudeos fuscata).[2] വൈറ്റ്-റംപെഡ് ലോറി, ഡസ്ക്കി-ഓറഞ്ച് ലോറിഎന്നിവ ഇവയുടെ സാധാരണ നാമങ്ങളാണ്. [3]ന്യൂ ഗ്വിനിയ , ബറ്റാന്തയുടെ തീരദേശ ദ്വീപുകൾ, സലാവാതി, യാപ്പൻ എന്നീ കടൽത്തീരങ്ങളിലും ഇത് കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. കൂടാതെ, ഇവയെ "ബാൻറഡ് ലോറിസ്" അല്ലെങ്കിൽ "ഡസ്ക്കിസ് " എന്നും വിളിക്കുന്നു.

ഉപോ-ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ ഈർപ്പമുള്ള താഴ്ന്ന വനങ്ങളിലെയും, ഉപോ-ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ ഈർപ്പമുള്ള മോണ്ടെൻ വനങ്ങളിലെയും ഉപോ-ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ മാൻഗ്രോവ് വനങ്ങളിലെയും ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥയിലും സാധാരണയായി ഇവ കണ്ടുവരുന്നു.
