പ്രശസ്തനായ അമേരിക്കൻ മനശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനാണ് ഹോവാർഡ് ഗാർഡ്നർ (ഹോവാർഡ് ഏൾ ഗാർഡ്നർ എന്ന് മുഴുവൻ പേര് — ജനനം:ജൂലൈ  11, 1943) നിലവിൽ ഹാർവാർഡ് സർവകലാശാലയുടെ സീറോ എന്ന പേരിലുള്ള പ്രൊജക്ടിൻറെ സീനിയർ ഡയറക്ടറാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം. ബഹുമുഖ ബുദ്ധി സിദ്ധാന്തത്തിലൂടെയാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം ലോക പ്രശസ്തമായത്.[2]

നൂറിലേറെ ഗവേഷണ പ്രബന്ധങ്ങൾ ഗാർഡ്നർ എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്[3] കൂടാതെ 30 പുസ്തകങ്ങളും എഴുതി. ഇവ 30 ലേറെ ഭാഷകളിലേക്ക് വിവർത്തനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. 1983ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ഫ്രൈംസ് ഓഫ് മൈൻഡ് എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിലാണ്  ബഹുമുഖ ബുദ്ധി സിദ്ധാന്തം [2] അദ്ദേഹം വിശദീകരിച്ചത്.

ജീവിത രേഖ[തിരുത്തുക]

1943 ജൂലൈ 11ന് പെൻസിൽവാനിയയിലെ സ്കാൻറോണിൽ റാൾഫ് ഗാർഡ്നർ, ഹിൽഡെ ദമ്പതികളുടെ മകനായാണ് ജനിച്ചത്. രണ്ടാം ലോക യുദ്ധത്തെ തുടർന്ന ജർമ്മനിയിൽ നിന്ന് കുടിയേറിയ ജെർമ്മൻ-ജ്യീഷ് ദമ്പതികളാണ് മാതാപിതാക്കൾ.[4]

ഔദ്യോഗികജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]

ഹാർവാർഡ് സർവകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് 1965 ൽ ബിഎ ബിരുദം പൂർത്തിയാക്കി.സോഷ്യൽ റിലേഷൻസ് ആയിരുന്നു ബിഎ കോഴ്സിലെ വിഷയം.പിന്നീട് പ്രശസ്തനായ എറിക് എറിക്സൺറെ കീഴിലായിരുന്നു പഠനം .റോജർ ബ്രോൺ, ജെറോം ബ്രൂണർ എന്നീ മനശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞരോടൊപ്പവും നെൽസൺ ഗുഡ്മാൻ എന്ന തത്ത്വചിന്തകൻറെയും കൂടെ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നതിനിടെ വികാസമനഃശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ ഹാർവാർഡിൽ തന്നെ പിഎച്ച്ഡി ചെയ്യാൻ അദ്ദേഹം ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു.[4] തൻറെ പോസ്റ്റ് ജോക്ടറൽ ഫെലോഷിപ്പിനായി നോർമൻ ഗെസ്വിൻഡിനോടു കൂടെ 20 വർഷത്തോളം ബോസ്റ്റൺ അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രേഷൻ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തു.[3]. 1986 ൽ ഹാർവാർഡ് ഗ്രാജ്വേറ്റ് സ്കൂൾ ഓഫ് എജ്യുക്കേഷനിൽ അധ്യാപകനായി ജോലിയാരംഭിച്ചു.1995 മുതൽ ഗുഡ് വർക്ക് പ്രൊജക്ട് എന്നതിലാണ് ശ്രദ്ധകേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചുവരുന്നത്.

2000ത്തിൽ ഗാർഡ്നർ , ക്വർട്ട് ഫിഷർ എന്നിവരോടൊപ്പം സഹപാഠികളും ചേർന്ന് ഹാർവാർഡ്ഗ്രാജ്വേറ്റ് സ്കൂളിൽ 'മനസ്സ് , ബുദ്ധി, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം എന്നീ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദ കോഴ്സിന് തുടക്കംകുറിച്ചു.ലോകത്തു തന്നെ ആദ്യമായിട്ടായിരുന്നു ഇത്തരമൊരു കോഴ്സിൻറെ ആരംഭം.2004 മുതൽ മനസ്സ്, ബുദ്ധി എന്നീ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ പുസ്തക പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണവും എഴുത്തും സജീവമായി തുടരുന്നു.[4]
