നെപ്പന്തസ് ജനുസ്സിലെ ഒരു മാംസഭോജിയായ പിച്ചർ സസ്യ ഇനമാണ് നേപ്പന്തസ് മാക്‌സിമ (/nɪˈpɛnθiːz ˈmæksɪmə/; ലാറ്റിനിൽ നിന്ന്: maximus "greatest"), വലിയ പിച്ചർ-പ്ലാന്റ്^[5] . ന്യൂ ഗിനിയ, സുലവേസി, മലുകു ദ്വീപുകൾ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ താരതമ്യേന വിശാലമായി ഈ സസ്യം വ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.^[6]വോവോണി ദ്വീപിലും ഇത് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കാം.^[7]
