ഐറിസ് ജനുസ്സിലെ ഒരു ഇനമാണ് ഐറിസ് വിങ്ക്ലെരി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വിങ്ക്ലർ ഐറിസ്. ഹെർമോഡാക്റ്റിലോയിഡ്സ് ഉപജീനസിലും മോണോലെപ്സിസ് വിഭാഗത്തിലും ഇതിനെ വർഗ്ഗീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. മധ്യേഷ്യയിലെ തുർക്കിസ്ഥാൻ സ്വദേശമായുള്ള ഈ ഇനം ബൾബസ് വിഭാഗത്തിൽപ്പട്ടതാണ്.
സമുദ്രനിരപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് 3,000–4,000 മീറ്റർ (9,800–13,100 അടി) ഉയരത്തിലാണ് ഇത് സാധാരണയായി കാണപ്പെടുന്നത്.[2]
