കേരളത്തിൽ അടുത്ത കാലത്തായി കണ്ടെത്തിയ ശലഭമാണ് നീലമരത്തുള്ളൻ(Purple Spotted Flitter).[1][2] (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Zographetus ogygia). സഹ്യപർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ വനാന്തരങ്ങളാണ് ഇവയുടെ ആവാസകേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വടക്കു കിഴക്കൻ വനാന്തരങ്ങളും ഇവയുടെ ഇഷ്ടതാവളങ്ങളാണ്.[3][4][5][6][7][8] വേട്ടുവക്കുറ്റിയാണ് ശലഭ-ലാർവകളുടെ ഭക്ഷണസസ്യം.[9]
