അപ്പോസൈനേസീ കുടുംബത്തിലെ ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ സസ്യങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു ഇനമാണ് ഹോയ മൾട്ടിഫ്ലോറ. ചൈനയും ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ ഏഷ്യയുമാണ് ഇതിന്റെ ജന്മദേശം. പരമാവധി 50 സെന്റീമീറ്റർ ഉയരമുള്ള നിത്യഹരിത വാർഷിക സസ്യമാണിത്.[6] ഈ ചെടിക്ക് അമൃത് ഉത്പാദിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിയും.[7]
