തുർക്കിയിലെ സെഫാർഡിക് യഹൂദരുടെ മാതൃഭാഷയാണ് ലാഡിനോ. ഹീബ്രു ലിപിയിലെഴുതുന്ന ഈ ഭാഷ, ജൂഡിയോ-സ്പാനിഷ് എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടൂന്നു. ലാഡിനോയുടെ പദസഞ്ചയത്തിൽ ഹീബ്രുവിനു പുറമേ പോർച്ചുഗീസ്, തുർക്കിഷ്, ഗ്രീക്ക് ഭാഷകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പദങ്ങളൂം ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്നു. 1510-ലാണ് ലാഡിനോ ഭാഷയിലെഴുതിയ ആദ്യത്തെ പുസ്തകം ഇസ്താംബൂളിൽ പുറത്തിറക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.[7]

സെഫാഡിക് യഹൂദർ സ്പെയിനിൽ നിന്നും തുർക്കിയിലെത്തിയവരാണ്. സ്പെയിനിൽ നിന്നും പോർച്ചുഗലിൽ നിന്നും പുറത്താക്കപ്പെട്ട ഇവരെ 1492-ൽ ഓട്ടൊമൻ സുൽത്താൻ ബെയാസിത് രണ്ടാമൻ തന്റെ രാജ്യത്തേക്ക് ക്ഷണിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.[7]
