കോംറ്റൺ, അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിലെ കാലിഫോർണിയ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് തെക്കൻ ലോസ് ഏഞ്ചലസ് കൗണ്ടിയിൽ, ലോസ് ആഞ്ചലസ് നഗര കേന്ദ്രത്തിനു തെക്കായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു നഗരമാണ്.[11] കൗണ്ടിയിലെ ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കമേറിയ നഗരങ്ങളിലൊന്നായ കോംപ്റ്റൺ, 1888 മേയ് 11 ന് സംയോജിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ട എട്ടാമത്തെ നഗരമായിരുന്നു. 2010 ലെ യു.എസ്. സെൻസ് പ്രകാരം ഈ നഗരത്തിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ 96,455 ആയിരുന്നു.[12] ലോസ് ഏഞ്ചൽസ് കൗണ്ടിയുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിലെ ഈ നഗരത്തിൻറെ ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രപരമായ നിലനിൽപ്പിൻറെ പ്രത്യേകത കാരണമായി ഈ നഗരം "ഹബ് സിറ്റി" എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.[13]
