ഫ്രാൻസ് ആസ്ഥാനമായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഗിനിയൻ ചലച്ചിത്ര സംവിധായകനും നടനുമാണ് മുഹമ്മദ് കാമറ (ജനനം 1959 കോനാക്രിയിൽ).[1] പാരീസിലെ അറ്റലിയർ ബ്ലാഞ്ചെ സാലന്റിൽ അദ്ദേഹം പഠിച്ചു.[2] (Denko), child suicide (Minka), homosexuality (Dakan)[3] തുടങ്ങിയ തന്റെ സിനിമകളിൽ അദ്ദേഹം വിവാദ വിഷയങ്ങൾ സമഗ്രപഠനം നടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[3] 1997-ലെ ഡാകൻ, ഒരു കറുത്ത ആഫ്രിക്കക്കാരന്റെ സ്വവർഗരതിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ആദ്യത്തെ ചലച്ചിത്രം എന്ന് വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.[4]
എൽ.എ. ഔട്ട്ഫെസ്റ്റിൽ ഡക്കനിലെ മികച്ച വിദേശ വിവരണത്തിനുള്ള ഗ്രാൻഡ് ജൂറി അവാർഡ് ഉൾപ്പെടെതന്റെ സിനിമകൾക്കായി നിരവധി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ കാമറ നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[5][6]
വടക്കേ അമേരിക്കയിൽ, ഫ്രഞ്ച് ഇൻ ആക്ഷൻ എന്ന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പരമ്പരയിലെ ഔസ്മാൻ എന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ പ്രകടനത്തിലൂടെയാണ് കാമറ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്.
