ഒപെക് അഥവാ ഓഗനൈസേഷൻ ഒഫ് ദ പെട്രോളിയം എക്സ്പോർട്ടിംഗ് കൺട്രീസ് (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries - OPEC) എന്നത് പെട്രോളിയം കയറ്റുമതിചെയ്യുന്ന പതിമൂന്ന് രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു കൂട്ടായ്മയാണ്‌. 1965 മുതൽ വിയന്ന ആണ്‌ ഒപെക്കിന്റെ ആസ്ഥാനം.[4] 1960 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 10 മുതൽ 1 വരെ ബാഗ്ദാദിൽ നടന്ന ഇറാൻ, ഇറാഖ് ,കുവൈറ്റ്, സൗദി അറേബ്യ ,വെനിസ്വേല എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ചയിലാണ്‌ ഈ സംഘടന രൂപമെടുത്തത്.
