ആൻ അഗോണി ഇൻ 8 ഫിറ്റ്‌സ് എന്ന ഉപശീർഷകത്തിലുള്ള ദി ഹണ്ടിംഗ് ഓഫ് ദി സ്‌നാർക്ക് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് എഴുത്തുകാരനായ ലൂയിസ് കരോൾ എഴുതിയ കവിതയാണ്. 1874 നും 1876 നും ഇടയിൽ എഴുതിയ ഈ കവിത സാധാരണയായി ഒരു അസംബന്ധ കവിതയായി വർഗ്ഗീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. കരോളിന്റെ കുട്ടികളുടെ നോവലായ ത്രൂ ദ ലുക്കിംഗ്-ഗ്ലാസിലെ (1871) "ജബ്ബർവോക്കി" എന്ന കവിതയിൽ നിന്ന് ക്രമീകരണവും ചില ജീവജാലങ്ങളും എട്ട് പോർട്ട്മാൻറോ വാക്കുകളും കടമെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ലൂയിസ് കരോളിന്റെ 1871-ലെ കുട്ടികളുടെ നോവലായ ത്രൂ ദി ലുക്കിംഗ്-ഗ്ലാസിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച "ജബ്ബർവോക്കി" എന്ന കവിതയുമായി ദി ഹണ്ടിംഗ് ഓഫ് ദി സ്നാർക്ക് അതിന്റെ സാങ്കൽപ്പിക പശ്ചാത്തലം പങ്കുവെക്കുന്നു.[1] "ജബ്ബർവോക്കി"യിൽ നിന്നുള്ള എട്ട് അസംബന്ധ പദങ്ങൾ ദി ഹണ്ടിംഗ് ഓഫ് ദി സ്നാർക്കിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നു: ബാൻഡർസ്നാച്ച്, ബീമിഷ്, ഫ്രൂമിയസ്, ഗാലംഫിംഗ്, ജുബ്ജൂബ്, മിംസിയസ്റ്റ് (ഇത് മുമ്പ് "ജാബർവോക്കി" യിൽ മിംസി ആയി പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു), ഔട്ട്‌ഗ്രേബ്, ആഫിഷ്.[2] തന്റെ യുവ സുഹൃത്ത് ഗെർട്രൂഡ് ചാറ്റവേയുടെ അമ്മയ്ക്ക് എഴുതിയ കത്തിൽ, കരോൾ സ്നാർക്കിന്റെ ഡൊമെയ്‌നിനെ "ജുബ്ജൂബും ബാൻഡേഴ്‌സ്നാച്ചും പതിവായി കാണുന്ന ഒരു ദ്വീപ് - ജാബർവോക്ക് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട ദ്വീപ് തന്നെയാണെന്നതിൽ സംശയമില്ല."[3]
