ഗലീലിയ

വടക്കൻ ഇസ്രായേലിലും തെക്കൻ ലെബനനിലുമായി വ്യാപിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഭൂപ്രദേശമാണ് ഗലീലിയ^[1] (ഹീബ്രു: הַגָּלִיל‎ ഹഗാലീൽ; അറബി: الجليل‬ അൽ-ജലീൽ). മേലേ ഗലീലി (הגליל העליון, ഹഗാലീൽ ഹഎല്യോൻ; الجليل الأعلى, അൽ-ജലീൽ അൽ-അലാ), താഴേ ഗലീലി (גליל תחתון, ഗലീൽ തഹ്‌തോൻ; الجليل الأسفل, അൽ-ജലീൽ അൽ-അസ്‌ഫൽ) എന്നീ രണ്ട് ഭൂഭാഗങ്ങൾ ഗലീലിയയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. പൊതുവേ മലമ്പ്രദേശമാണ് ഗലീലിയ.

ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രപരമായി കാർമ്മൽ-ഗിൽബോവ മലയിടുക്കിന്റെ വടക്കായും ലിതാനി നദിയുടെ കിഴക്ക്-പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ദിശയിലായി ഒഴുകുന്ന ഭാഗത്തിന്റെ തെക്കായും ഉള്ള പ്രദേശമാണ് ഗലീലിയ. പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ഭാഗത്ത് ഇസ്രായേലി തീരദേശ സമതലവും മധ്യധരണ്യാഴിയുടെ തീരവും കിഴക്ക് ജോർദാൻ താഴ്‌വരയും സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. ജെസ്സ്രീൽ താഴ്‌വര, ജെനിന്റെ വടക്കൻ മേഖല, ബേഥ് ഷോൺ താഴ്വര, ഗലീലി കടലും അതിൻറെ സമീപപ്രദേശങ്ങളും, ഹൈഫ മേഖല ഒഴിച്ചുള്ള ഹുലാ താഴ്‌വര എന്നിവയെല്ലാം ഗലീലിയയിലാണ്. ആധുനിക ഇസ്രായേലിലെ വടക്കൻ ജില്ല, തെക്കൻ ലെബനൻ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളാണ് ഗലീലിയയുടെ ഇന്നത്തെ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ഭാഗങ്ങൾ.

നാമകരണം[തിരുത്തുക]

ഗലീലിയ ഹീബ്രുവിൽ ഗാലിൽ എന്നാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത് גָּלִיל. 'ജില്ല' അല്ലെങ്കിൽ 'വൃത്തം' എന്നാണ് ഈ പദത്തിന്റെ അർഥം.^[2] ഈ പേരിന്റെ അവികസിത രൂപമായ ഗെലിൽ ഹഗ്ഗോയിം גְּלִיל הַגּוֹיִם ആണ് ഏശയ്യായുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ ഉപയോഗിച്ചു കാണുന്നത് 9:1. 'രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ ഗലീലിയ' അല്ലെങ്കിൽ 'ജനതകളുടെ ഗലീലിയ' എന്നാണ് ഈ പദത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥം. നവീന അസ്സീറിയൻ സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പുരധിവാസ നയങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സ്വന്തം നിലയ്ക്കോ പ്രദേശത്തേക്ക് കുടിയേറിപ്പാർത്ത വിജാതീയ സമൂഹങ്ങളുടെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തെയാണ് ഈ പദപ്രയോഗം വിവക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്.^[2]
