ഇന്ത്യയെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യാന്തര ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീമാണ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ദേശീയ വനിതാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീം. ബോർഡ് ഓഫ് കൺ‌ട്രോൾ ഫോർ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ഇൻ ഇന്ത്യ (ബി.സി.സി.ഐ.) എന്ന കായിക സംഘടനയാണ് 2006 മുതൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ ദേശീയ വനിതാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീമിനെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നത് . ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് കൗൺസിൽ റാങ്കിംഗ് പ്രകാരം ടെസ്റ്റിലും ഏക ദിനത്തിലും ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനമാണ് ഇന്ത്യൻ ദേശീയ വനിതാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീമിന്. 1976/1977 ൽ ആണ് ഈ ടീം ആദ്യ ടെസ്റ്റ്‌ മത്സരം കളിച്ചത്. 2004ൽ ആദ്യമായി ഏഷ്യ കപ്പ്‌ വിജയിച്ചു ഇന്ത്യൻ ദേശീയ വനിതാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീം.

വനിതാക്രിക്കറ്റിന് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ വലിയ പ്രോത്സാഹനം കിട്ടുന്നില്ല. 20-20 ലോകകപ്പ് ക്രിക്കറ്റു മത്സരത്തിൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ വനിതാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീം പങ്കെടുത്തിരുന്നു. മിതാലി രാജ് ആയിരുന്നു ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ. പക്ഷെ 2015ലെ ഈ മത്സരത്തിൽ സെമിയിൽ കടക്കാനായില്ല. ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ മിതാലി രാജ് 6000 റൺസ് ഇതിനകം നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യൻ പുരുഷ ക്രിക്കറ്റു താരങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു കോടി രൂപ പ്രതിഫലമാണ് ബി. സി. സി. ഐ നൽകുന്നത്. എന്നാൽ വനിതാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് താരങ്ങൾക്ക് കൂടിയത് 15 ലക്ഷം മാത്രം. മിതാലി രാജിനു പുറമെ, ലോകത്തെ ഏറ്റവും വേഗമുള്ള ബൗളറായ ജുലൻ ഗോസാമി, ഹർമൻപ്രീത് കൗർ, തിരുഷ് കാമിനി എന്നിവരാണ് പ്രമുഖ ഇന്ത്യൻ വനിതാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് താരങ്ങൾ. കൂടാതെ, സ്മൃതി മന്ദന, രാജേശ്വരി ഗെയിക് വാദ്, പൂനം യാദവ്, ഏക്ത ബിഷ്ട്, വേദ കൃഷ്ണമൂർത്തി, നിരഞ്ജന നാഗരാജൻ, പൂനം റൗത്ത് എന്നിവരാണ് മറ്റു പ്രധാന ഇന്ത്യൻ വനിതാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് താരങ്ങൾ.
