ചന്ദനമഴ, ആത്മസഖി, മൈഥിലി വീണ്ടും വരുന്നു, ദേവസ്പർശം തുടങ്ങിയ ടെലിവിഷൻ സീരിയലുകളിലെ വേഷങ്ങളിലൂടെയാണ് അപർണ ഏറെയും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. മേഘതീർത്ഥം, മുദ്ദുഗൗ, അച്ചായൻസ്, കോടതി സമക്ഷം ബാലൻ വക്കീൽ തുടങ്ങിയ സിനിമകളിലും അഭിനയിച്ചു. [1] [2]

അപർണ്ണ വിവാഹിതയും ത്രയ, കൃതിക എന്നീ രണ്ട് പെൺകുട്ടികളുടെ അമ്മയുമായിരുന്നു. [3] [4]മുപ്പത്തിമൂന്നാം വയസിൽ അപർണ്ണ ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്തു. [5] തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ കരമനയിലുള്ള വീട്ടിലെ മുറിയിൽ തൂങ്ങിമരിച്ച നിലയിൽ 2023 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 31-ന് അപർണ്ണയെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയായിരുന്നു . [6]
