സ്കൈപ്പ് (pronounced /ˈskaɪp/) ഇന്റര്നെറ്റ് വഴി ആശയവിനിമയം നടത്താന് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന സോഫ്റ്റ്വെയറാണ്. നിക്ലാസ് സെന്സ്ലോം, ജാനസ് ഫ്രീസ് എന്നീ വ്യവസായ സംരംഭകരാണ് ഈ ഇന്റര്നെറ്റ് ടെലിഫോണി സംവിധാനം ആവിഷ്കരിച്ചത്. ആരോടും ഏതു സമയത്തും സംസാരിക്കാമെന്ന സൌകര്യമാണ് സ്കൈപ്പ് രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. ആശയവിനിമയം നടത്തുന്ന രണ്ടു പേരു സ്കൈപ്പാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതെങ്കില് സേവനം തികച്ചും സൌജന്യമാണ്. സ്കൈപ്പ് ഗ്രൂപ്പാണ് ഇതിനെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നത്[1]. ലംക്സംബര്ഗ്ഗിലാണ് സ്കൈപ്പ് ഗ്രൂപ്പിന്റെ ആസ്ഥാനം. ഒട്ടു മിക്ക രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും 28 ഭാഷകളിലുമായി സ്കൈപ്പ് സേവനം ലഭ്യമാണ്.
