മാണ്ഡി ജില്ല വടക്കേയിന്ത്യയിലെ ഹിമാചൽ പ്രദേശ് സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ മധ്യ ജില്ലകളിൽപ്പെട്ട ഒന്നാണ്. മാണ്ഡി പട്ടണമാണ് ഈ ജില്ലയുടെ ആസ്ഥാനം. ഇവിടുത്തെ പ്രധാന മാതൃഭാഷ മണ്ടേലി ആണ്.[1]
ജനസംഖ്യ[തിരുത്തുക]
2011-ലെ സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം, മാൻഡി ജില്ലയിലെ 9,99,777[2] എന്ന ജനസംഖ്യ ഫിജി,[3] അല്ലെങ്കിൽ യുഎസിലെ മൊണ്ടാന[4] സംസ്ഥാനത്തിനോ തുല്യമായിരുന്നു. ഇത് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ആകെയുള്ള 640-ജില്ലകളിൽ ഇതിന് 446-ാം റാങ്ക് നൽകുന്നു.[5] ജില്ലയിലെ ജനസാന്ദ്രത ഒരു ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്ററിന് 253 നിവാസികൾ (660/ചതുരശ്ര മൈൽ) എന്ന നിലയിലായിരുന്നു.[6]
2001-2011 ദശകത്തിൽ മാണ്ഡി ജില്ലയിലെ ജനസംഖ്യാ വളർച്ചാ നിരക്ക് 10.89% എന്ന നിലയിലായിരുന്നു.[7] ഓരോ 1000 പുരുഷന്മാർക്കും 1012 സ്ത്രീകൾ എന്ന ലിംഗാനുപാതമുള്ള[8] മാണ്ഡി ജില്ലയിലെ സാക്ഷരതാ നിരക്ക് 82.81% ആണ്. ജനസംഖ്യയുടെ 6.27% നഗരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലാണ് താമസിക്കുന്നത്. ജനസംഖ്യയിൽ പട്ടികജാതി, പട്ടികവർഗ വിഭാഗങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാതിനിധ്യം യഥാക്രമം 29.38%, 1.28% എന്നിങ്ങനെയാണ്.[9]
2011-ലെ സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം ഈ ജില്ലയിലെ ജനസംഖ്യയുടെ 59.11% തങ്ങളുടെ ആദ്യ ഭാഷ മണ്ടേലിയാണെന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ 33.32% പേർ പഹാരിയും (ഹിമാചൽ, ഉത്തരാഖണ്ഡ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ മിക്ക ഇന്തോ-ആര്യൻ ഭാഷകൾക്കും ഈ പദം വ്യാപകമായി ബാധകമാണ്), 4.1% പേർ ഹിന്ദിയും 0.66% - പഞ്ചാബി, 0.47% - കാൻഗ്രി ഭാഷകളും തങ്ങളുടെ ആദ്യ ഭാഷയായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.[10]
