ഒരു പ്രൊഫഷണൽ നൈജീരിയൻ നടിയാണ് കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ, കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ-നട്ടാൽ (ജനനം 19 ജൂലൈ 1971)[1][2][3] . 2008-ൽ "സ്‌ട്രോംഗർ ദ പെയിൻ" എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് മികച്ച നടിക്കുള്ള ആഫ്രിക്കൻ മൂവി അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു.[4]

നാല് മക്കളിൽ മൂത്തവളായി ക്രോസ് റിവർ സ്റ്റേറ്റിലാണ് കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ ജനിച്ചത്. പ്രാഥമിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനായി അവർ ലാഗോസിലെ അജലെയിലെ സെന്റ് മേരി പ്രൈവറ്റ് സ്കൂളിൽ ചേർന്നു. പിന്നീട്, അവരുടെ സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂൾ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനായി കലബാറിലെ ഫെഡറൽ ഗവൺമെന്റ് ഗേൾ കോളേജിൽ പ്രവേശനം ലഭിച്ചു.[5] അവർ ഒരു വർഷം കലബാർ സർവ്വകലാശാലയിൽ റിമീഡീൽ പഠനങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് ലാഗോസിലെ LUTH (ലാഗോസ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ടീച്ചിംഗ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ) സ്കൂൾ ഓഫ് മെഡിക്കൽ ലാബ് സയൻസിൽ മെഡിക്കൽ മൈക്രോബയോളജിയിൽ ബിരുദം നേടി. ബൗച്ചി സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ജനറൽ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിലാണ് ഹെൻഷോ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്.[2] ഒരു നടിയാകുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ്, കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ ഒരു മോഡലായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. ഷീൽഡ് ഡിയോഡറന്റിന്റെ പ്രിന്റ്, ടെലിവിഷൻ പരസ്യം ഉൾപ്പെടെ വിവിധ പരസ്യങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു.[6]

1993-ൽ, വെൻ ദ സൺ സെറ്റ്സ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രത്തിനായി കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ ഓഡിഷൻ നടത്തി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഒരു പ്രധാന നോളിവുഡ് സിനിമയിൽ അവരുടെ ആദ്യ വേഷമായിരുന്നു ഇത്.[2] കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ 45-ലധികം നോളിവുഡ് സിനിമകളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[7]

2008-ൽ, സ്‌ട്രോംഗർ ദ പെയിൻ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് മികച്ച നടിക്കുള്ള ആഫ്രിക്ക മൂവി അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു.[4]

"റൊട്ടി" എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് 2018-ലെ ആഫ്രിക്കൻ മൂവി അക്കാദമി അവാർഡിൽ "ഒരു പ്രധാന വേഷത്തിലെ മികച്ച നടിയായി" അവർ നാമനിർദ്ദേശം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു.[8]

പീപ്പിൾസ് ഡെമോക്രാറ്റിക് പാർട്ടിയുടെ പ്ലാറ്റ്‌ഫോമിന് കീഴിൽ കലബാർ മുനിസിപ്പൽ/ഒടുക്ക്പാനി ഫെഡറൽ മണ്ഡലത്തെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ 2014 ജൂലൈ 19-ന് കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ തന്റെ പ്രചാരണ വെബ്‌സൈറ്റ് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി അനാച്ഛാദനം ചെയ്തു.[9] കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ പ്രൈമറി തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ റിട്ട. ഹോൺ എസ്സിയൻ ആയിയോട് പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു. എന്നാൽ 2015 ഡിസംബറിൽ ക്രോസ് റിവർ സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ഗവർണർ ബെൻ അയാഡെ പ്രത്യേക ഉപദേഷ്ടാവ് ലെയ്സൺ ലാഗോസ് ആയി നിയമിച്ചു.[10][11]

2012-ൽ, ഹെൻഷോയെ യുകെ പെർഫ്യൂം നിരയായ ബ്ലെസിംഗ് പെർഫ്യൂമിന്റെ ബ്രാൻഡ് അംബാസഡറായി നിയമിച്ചു.[12] പ്രൊമസിഡോർ നൈജീരിയ ലിമിറ്റഡ് നിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന "ഓംഗ" സീസണിന്റെ ബ്രാൻഡ് അംബാസഡറാണ് അവർ.[13] 2012 സെപ്റ്റംബറിൽ, നൈജീരിയ ഗോട്ട് ടാലന്റ് എന്ന റിയാലിറ്റി ഷോയിൽ ഡാൻ ഫോസ്റ്ററിനൊപ്പം കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോയും ജഡ്ജിയായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.[14] 2013-ൽ, കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോയും ബാങ്കി ഡബ്ല്യുവും സാംസങ് മൊബൈൽ ഡിവിഷന്റെ ബ്രാൻഡ് അംബാസഡറായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.[15]2019 ജനുവരിയിൽ, ദി വേൾഡ്സ് ബെസ്റ്റ് എന്ന സിബിഎസ് ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ടാലന്റ് ഷോയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന 50 ജഡ്ജിമാരിൽ ഒരാളായി കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.[16] ഭീമൻ ടെലികമ്മ്യൂണിക്കേഷൻ കമ്പനിയായ ഗ്ലോയുടെ അംബാസഡറായിരുന്നു കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ.[17]

2016-ൽ, ഒരു ട്വിറ്റർ ഉപയോക്താവ് മുഖത്ത് വ്രണമുള്ള വളർച്ചയുമായി ജനിച്ച രണ്ട് വയസ്സുള്ള മൈക്കൽ അൽവേസിന്റെ ചിത്രം പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുകയും തുടർന്ന് കേസിൽ താൽപ്പര്യം വളർത്തിയ ഹെൻഷോയെ ടാഗ് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവരും മറ്റു പലരും ആൺകുട്ടിയുടെ ചികിത്സയ്ക്കായി 8 ദശലക്ഷം നായരാ തുക സംഭാവന ചെയ്തു. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, എല്ലാ സഹായവും നിരസിച്ച കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ അഭ്യർത്ഥന പ്രകാരം പണം തിരികെ നൽകി.[18]

കേറ്റ് ഹെൻഷോ 1999-ൽ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് വംശജനായ റോഡറിക് ജെയിംസ് നട്ടലിനെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു. അവർക്ക് ഒരു കുട്ടിയുണ്ട്.[19] ഹെൻഷോയും നട്ടലും 2011ൽ വിവാഹമോചിതരായി.[20][21]
