പത്താം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ ഗണിതജ്ഞനായിരുന്നു ഹലായുധൻ(Hindi: हलायुध).അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ രചനയാണ് മൃതസഞ്ജീവനി[1]. പിംഗളന്റെ ഛന്ദശ്ശാസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ഭാഷ്യമാണ് മൃതസഞ്ജീവനി.പാസ്ക്കലിന്റെ ത്രികോണത്തിന്റെ [2][3]വ്യക്തമായ വിവരണമായ “മേരുപ്രസ്തര” മൃതസഞ്ജീവനിയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
