കിഴക്ക് തെക്ക് ഏഷ്യയിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു തരം നത്താണ് സൈരന്ധ്രി നത്ത് (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Otus sunia)[2] [3][4][5] ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ ഇത് Oriental Scops Owl എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. താഴ്ന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ മുതൽ താഴ്വരകൾ വരെയുള്ള വനങ്ങളിലും, പൂന്തോട്ടങ്ങളിലും, പാർക്കുകളിലും വസിക്കുന്നു. പലപ്പോഴും അതിൻ്റെ പരിധിയുടെ ചില ഭാഗങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യ വാസത്തിന് സമീപമാണ്.[6] തിളക്കമുള്ള മഞ്ഞ കണ്ണുകൾ ആണ് ചെറിയ സൈരന്ധ്രി നത്തിന് ഉള്ളത്. ചാര നിറത്തിലുള്ള തവിട്ടുനിറത്തിലുള്ള റൂഫസ് മോർഫുകളിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. സാധാരണയായി ദുർബലമായി അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. മുഖത്തെ ഡിസ്കിലേക്കുള്ള ദുർബലമായ കറുത്ത അതിർത്തി,നേർത്ത വരകളുള്ള അടിഭാഗം, ചെറിയ ചെവി മുഴകൾ (പലപ്പോഴും പരന്നതായി പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു).
വിതരണം
[തിരുത്തുക]തെക്കേ ഏഷ്യയിലെ ഇലപൊഴിയും വനങ്ങളിലാണ് കാണുന്നത്. അലാസ്കയിൽ രണ്ടു തവണ കണ്ടാതായി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
