ലാന്റ് ഫാൾ ദ്വീപ് (Landfall Island) ഇന്ത്യൻ കേന്ദ്രഭരണപ്രദേശമായ ആൻഡമാൻ നിക്കോബാർ ദ്വീപുസമൂഹങ്ങളിൽ ഏറ്റവും വടക്കേയറ്റത്തു കിടക്കുന്ന ദ്വീപ്.[7][8] ഇത് ഈ പ്രദേശത്തിലെ വടക്കും മദ്ധ്യഭാഗത്തുമുള്ള ആൻഡമാൻ ഭരണഭാഗമായ ജില്ലയിൽപ്പെട്ടതാണ്.[9] ഈ ദ്വീപ് 220 കി.മീ (721,785 അടി) പോർട്ട്ബ്ലെയറിൽനിന്ന് അകലെയാണ്. ബർമ്മയിൽനിന്നും 300 കി.മീ (984,252 അടി) km ആണു ദൂരം. ഇത് കരി ആദിവാസികളുടെ സങ്കേതമാണ്.[10]
ചരിത്രം
[തിരുത്തുക]2004-ൽ നടന്ന സുനാമി ഈ ദ്വീപിനേയും സാരമായി ബാധിച്ചു. ഇത് ഈ ദ്വീപിൽ അടിസ്ഥാനപരമായ മാറ്റമുണ്ടാക്കി.
ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രം
[തിരുത്തുക]ഈ ദ്വീപ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്, ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വടക്കൻ ആൻഡമാൻ ദ്വീപിന്റെയും മ്യാന്മാറിന്റെ കോക്കോസ് ദ്വീപിനും ഇടയിലാണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. ദ്വീപ് ചെറുതും ഏതാണ്ട് 3.1 കി.m2 (33,000,000 sq ft) വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ളതാണ്.
