ഒരു തായ്‌വാനീസ് പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവർത്തകയാണ് തുൻജായ് ഡീറ്റെസ് (തായ്: เตือนใจ เตือนใจ ดี เทศน์,) 1992ൽ ഗ്ലോബൽ 500 റോൾ ഓഫ് ഓണർ,[1] 1994-ൽ ഗോൾഡ്മാൻ എൻവയോൺമെന്റൽ പ്രൈസ് എന്നിവ ലഭിച്ചു.[2] 1970-കളുടെ ആരംഭം മുതൽ തായ് മലയോര ഗോത്രങ്ങളുമായി ഡീറ്റസ് പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[3]അവർ 1986-ൽ ഹിൽ ഏരിയ ഡെവലപ്‌മെന്റ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ സഹ-സ്ഥാപകയായി. 2019 ജൂലൈയിൽ ആ സ്ഥാനം രാജിവയ്ക്കുന്നതുവരെ അവർ മനുഷ്യാവകാശ കമ്മീഷൻ മുൻ കമ്മീഷണറാണ്.[4]
