സി.പി.ഐ.(എം) കേന്ദ്രകമ്മിറ്റി അംഗവും അഖിലേന്ത്യാ കിസാൻസഭയുടെ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറിയുമാണ് വിജൂ .[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]. സി.പി.(ഐ)എമ്മിന്റെ കെന്ദ്രകമ്മിറ്റി അംഗമാകുന്ന എറ്റവും പ്രായം കുറഞ്ഞ വ്യക്തിയാണ് വിജൂ.[2][11][12] 2018 മാർച്ച് 12ന് മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിൽ നടന്ന, ലോകശ്രദ്ധയാർജിച്ച കർഷകസമരമായ കിസാൻ ലോങ് മാർച്ചിനെ നയിച്ചവരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായിരുന്നു വിജൂ.[13][14] [15]

ജനനവും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും[തിരുത്തുക]

1974 ൽ കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ കരിവെള്ളൂരിൽ പി കൃഷ്‌ണന്റെയും ശ്യാമളയുടെയും മകനായി വിജൂ ജനിച്ചു. ബംഗളൂരുവിലെ സെന്റ് ജോസഫ്‌സ് കോളേജിലും ഡൽഹി ജെ.എൻ.യു.വിലും ആയിരുന്നു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം. ജെ.എൻ.യു. യൂണിയൻ പ്രസിഡൻറായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കാർഷിക സമ്പദ്ഘടനയിലെ മാറ്റത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനത്തിൽ ഗവേഷണ ബിരുദമുണ്ട്.[16]

രാഷ്ട്രീയജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]

വിദ്യാർത്ഥി ആയിരിക്കെ എസ്.എഫ്.ഐ. യിലൂടെ ആയിരിന്നു വിജൂ കൃഷ്ണൻ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ജീവിതം ആരംഭിച്ചത്. ജെ.എൻ.യു.വിൽ ഗവേഷണ വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയായിരിക്കെ അവിടത്തെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥി യൂണിയൻ പ്രസിഡണ്ട്‌ ആയിരിന്നു. ഗവേഷണബിരുദം നേടിയതിനുശേഷം ബംഗളൂരുവിലെ സെന്റ് ജോസഫ്‌സ് കോളേജിൽ രാഷ്ട്രതന്ത്രം ബിരുദാനന്തരബിരുദ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ അധ്യാപകനും വകുപ്പ് മേധാവിയും ആയി ഏതാനും വർഷം ജോലിനോക്കി. പിന്നീട് ജോലി ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് മുഴുവൻസമയ രാഷ്ട്രീയപ്രവർത്തകനായി. അഖിലേന്ത്യാ കിസാൻസഭ, സി.പി.ഐ.(എം) എന്നിവയുടെ കേന്ദ്രനേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. 2012 മാർച്ച് 12 ന് മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിലെ നാസികിൽ നിന്നും മുംബൈ വരെ നടന്ന കർഷകരുടെ ലോംഗ് മാർച്ച് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ മുന്നിൽനിന്ന് പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.[17]
