ഇറ്റലി സ്വദേശിയായ ഒഡീസി, ചാഹു നർത്തകിയാണ് ഇലിയാന സിത്താറിസ്റ്റി (Ileana Citaristi) ഒറീസയിലെ ഭുവനേശ്വർ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. യുഗാന്തർ എന്ന ചലച്ചിത്രത്തിലെ നൃത്ത രൂപകൽപ്പനക്ക് 1995 ലെ ദേശീയ ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ചു. 2006 ൽ പത്മശ്രീ പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ചു.[1]
ജീവിതരേഖ[തിരുത്തുക]
ഇറ്റലിയിൽ ജനിച്ചു.[2] രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവർത്തകനാായിരുന്നു അച്ഛൻ.[3][4] ഇറ്റലിയിലെ പാരമ്പര്യ നാടക രൂപങ്ങളിലും പരീക്ഷണ നാടക വേദിയിലും അഞ്ച് വർഷത്തോളം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. കഥകളി പഠിക്കാനായി കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് വന്നു.[5] കൃഷ്ണൻ നമ്പൂതിരിയുടെ പക്കൽ മൂന്നു മാസത്തോളം കഥകളി പരിശീലനം നേടി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കൂടി ഉപദേശ പ്രകാരം ഒഡീഷയിലേക്കു ഒഡീസി നൃത്ത പരിശീലനത്തിനായി എത്തി.[6] 1979 മുതൽ ഒഡീഷ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചാണ് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്. സൈക്കോ അനാലിസിസും കിഴക്കൻ മിത്തോളജിയും എന്ന വിഷയത്തിൽ ഗവേഷണം ചെയ്ത് ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ് നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്'.[7]
നൃത്ത വേദിയിൽ[തിരുത്തുക]
ഗുരു കേളു ചരൺ മഹാപാത്രയുടെ പക്കൽ ഒഡീസി അഭ്യസിച്ചു. 1994 ൽ സ്വന്തം നൃത്ത വിദ്യാലയം തുടങ്ങി. മയൂർബാഞ്ച് ചാഹു നൃത്ത രൂപത്തിലും വിദഗ്ദ്ധയാണ്. ഗുരു ഹരി നായിക്കിന്റെ കീഴിലായിരുന്നു പഠനം.[8][9]
ചലച്ചിത്രത്തിൽ[തിരുത്തുക]
യുഗാന്തറിനു പുറമെ എം.എഫ്. ഹുസൈന്റെ മീനാക്ഷി :എ ടെയിൽ ഓഫ് ടു സിറ്റീസ് (2004) എന്ന സിനിമക്കായും കോറിയോഗ്രാഫി നിർവഹിച്ചു.[10][11] ദ മേക്കിംഗ് ഓഫ് എ ഗുരു : കേളു ചരൺ മഹാപാത്ര, ഹിസ് ലൈഫ് ആൻഡ് ടൈംസ്, ട്രഡീഷണൽ മാർഷ്യൽ പ്രാക്ടീസസ് ഇൻ ഒറീസ എന്ന ഗ്രന്ഥവും രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
2006 ൽ പത്മശ്രീ പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ചു.[12] ഇറ്റാലിയൻ സർക്കാർ 2008 ൽ ഓർഡർ ഓഫ് സ്റ്റാർ ഓഫ് ഇറ്റാലിയൻ സൊസൈറ്റി അംഗമാക്കി.
