ഫ്രാൻസ് വിക്ടർ വെർഫെൽ (10 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 1890 - 26 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 1945) ഒരു ഓസ്ട്രിയൻ-ബൊഹീമിയൻ നോവലിസ്റ്റ്, നാടകകൃത്ത്, കവി എന്നിവയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കരിയർ ഒന്നാം ലോക മഹായുദ്ധത്തിന്റെയും രണ്ടാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധത്തിന്റെയും ഇടയിലുള്ള യുദ്ധ കാലയളവിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. മൂസദാഗിന്റെ നാൽപത് നാളുകളുടെ (1933, English tr. 1934, 2012) രചയിതാവായാണ് അദ്ദേഹം പ്രധാനമായും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. 1915 ലെ അർമീനിയൻ വംശഹത്യയിൽ സംഭവിച്ച സംഭവങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഒരു നോവൽ ആയിരുന്നിത്. ബെർണഡറ്റ് സൗബിറസ് എന്ന ഫ്രഞ്ച് കാത്തലിക് സന്യാസിയുടെ ദർശനങ്ങളുടെയും ഒരു നോവൽ ദ സോങ് ഓഫ് ബെർണാഡെറ്റ് (1941)അതേ പേരിൽ ഒരു ഹോളിവുഡ് സിനിമയാക്കിരുന്നു..

Memorial to Franz Werfel by Ohan Petrosian in Schiller Park in Vienna. The granite pillar carries the inscription: "In Dankbarkeit und Hochachtung das Armenische Volk" ("In gratitude and respect, the Armenian people"). -
