സ്വീഡനിലെ സ്ത്രീ സമത്വവാദ പാർട്ടിയാണ് ഫെമിന്സ്റ്റ് ഇനീഷ്യേറ്റീവ്. 2005 സപ്തംബർ 9 നു ഈ പാർട്ടി രൂപീകൃതമായി. 2006 ലെ സ്വീഡൻ പാർലിമെന്റരി തെരെഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ സ്ഥനാർഥികളെ നിര്ത്തിയിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും സീറ്റുകളൊന്നും തന്നെ നേടുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. 2009 ലെ യൂരോപ്യന് യൂനിയൻ തിരെഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലും സീറ്റുകളൊന്നും നേടാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. എന്നാൽ 2014 ലെ യൂരോപ്യന് പാർലമെന്റരി തിരെഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ 5.3% സ്വീഡിഷ് വോട്ടുമായി സോരായ പോസ്റ്റ് യൂരോപ്യൻ പാർലമെന്റരി സീറ്റ് കരസ്ഥമാക്കി.

The party originally said it was going to transcend the left-right political divisions. But early on it began to show more of a left wing profile.

...the party is often criticised in Sweden as little more than a vehicle for Schyman, a maverick politician who combines radical left-wing politics with brilliant skills in self-promotion and debate.
