This RFK6.1 template is for citing web pages of the Australian Tropical Rainforest Plants information system,

Parameters

• url : Usually the web page url of the fact sheet within the Australian Tropical Rainforest Plants information system (see the optional pgtype parameter for non default output).
• name : As written on the fact sheet web page and its title bar, usually the name of the taxon. For clarity usually this value is required to be set; if it is not set the Wikipedia article name will be used, which may work for many of the taxa, but not for all, as some current WP taxa articles have different names, differently formatted or wrong names. (See the optional pgtype parameter for non default output.)
• accessdate : Self-explanatory. If you want to automate today’s date, then when calling this template set |accessdate={{subst:Date}}
• pgtype (optional): The type of page of {{{url}}} titled {{{name}}}. The default is for taxa, so the output looks like "Factsheet – {{{name in italics}}}" (marked up showing it is hyperlinked to {{{url}}} ); in other words for the most common page type of species; thus for the species page type this parameter is not used, unless the minority case where the page is for a taxon that is a subspecies, a variety or only has a manuscript name or a species affinity name, because it has not had a formal description yet—for these types of pages see the |pgtype=p option below.

Available settings are:

|pgtype=p for plain no automatic italics, most commonly for subspecies, variety and plant family pages (|pgtype=f also recognised here); output looks like "Factsheet – {{{name}}}"; for full botanical names of subspecies and varieties page types, if the ranking text abbreviations of "subsp." or "var." are wanted not in italics, as they should not be, then set: "pgtype= p" for plain and manually code the italics except for this ranking abbr. word; useful also for different purposes, such as for not formally described species, having manuscript names that in part do not get italicised—for these, manually code the italics on the name parameter value setting.

Again, by default it is not used (or may be meaninglessly set to any value other than p, f, or i) and then the output is: "Factsheet – {{{name in italics}}}", for the most common page type of species.

If a family page or an info page then the output of {{{name}}} is not italicised. If an info page then in addition the output of {{{name}}} is not prefaced with the text "Factsheet – ", allowing complete control of the output and formatting resulting from the value of the name parameter.

• dispauth (optional): The number of RFK authors displayed is set to three by default, with the suffix text "et. al." added automatically by the citation template used ({{Cite web}}). If display of, more of, all, or even less of, the eight authors is wanted, then set this value; the max. value = 9.
• nolinks (optional): Set to any value, for example |nolinks=y, then no wikilinks will be displayed for any authors, for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), nor for the web page link for the start page. Only the required link will be shown: {{{name}}} linked to the web page at {{{url}}}. This is useful if this RFK6.1 citation is used multiple times in an article. By default, authors having Wikipedia articles are wikilinked, presently Bernard Hyland, as is the CSIRO and the web page link to the information system start page.
• noHyl (optional): Set to any value, for example |noHyl=y, it turns off the wikilink to Bernard Hyland. By default, his article is included as a wikilink (by means of the {{Cite web}} author-link parameter). Unlike the above optional parameter turning off all links, including this author’s link, this individually turns it off while still leaving the other links. He is a plant name authority for hundreds of species so his article is commonly linked in many places in many Australian tropical plant articles, especially as the species name authority; while the other links still are needed when this’s the first RFK citation in the article, thus this optional parameter setting.

Created in particular for future use of this template {{RFK6.1}} on pages of spp. that are predominantly not Australian species;

ie. plant articles used & edited mainly outside of the Australian context;

and such plant articles may be on very well known plant subjects in their home countries, but not in Australia.

Hence this template, even in coding the use of it, should be flagged as for information mainly from Australia, and in particular Australian tropical rainforest plants’ occurrences.

RFK6.1 or the even simpler RFK is a common nickname for the information system, as also used in its URL, in the region of Australian tropical rainforests,

however this nickname may not stand into the future, as more rainforest plant information systems come out.
