അഗസിന്റെ വൈദഗ്ധ്യത്തിന്റെ മേഖല വികസിത അർബുദമാണ്.[7] സ്വകാര്യ ഫൗണ്ടേഷനുകളുടെയും നാഷണൽ കാൻസർ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ദേശീയ ഏജൻസികളുടെയും സഹായത്തോടെ അദ്ദേഹം പുതിയ കാൻസർ ചികിത്സകൾ വികസിപ്പിച്ചെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.[6] വേൾഡ് ഇക്കണോമിക് ഫോറത്തിന്റെ ഗ്ലോബൽ അജണ്ട കൗൺസിൽ ഓൺ ജനറ്റിക്സിന്റെ ചെയർമാനായും ആഗസ് പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[9]
