വലിപ്പം കൂടിയ ഒരിനം ലീമർ ആണ് ഗ്രേറ്റർ ബാംബൂ ലീമർ.ഇതിന്റെ ശാസ്ത്രനാമം Prolemur simus എന്നാണ്. മുളകൾ മാത്രമാണ് ഇവയുടെ ആഹാരം.അതും മഡഗാസ്കറിൽ മാത്രം കണ്ടുവരുന്ന Cathariostachys madagascariensis എന്നയിനം മുളയും. ഇവ ചെറിയ കൂട്ടങ്ങളായാണ് കണ്ടുവരുന്നത്. ഇവ ഏകദേശം 160 എണ്ണം മാത്രമേ ഭൂമിയിൽ ജീവിചിരിക്കുന്നുള്ളൂ.
