"ക്രോ" എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്, ചെറിയ അനേകം ചെറു ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ചേർന്ന ഒരു അമേരിക്കൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ വംശമാണ്. ഇവരുടെ ആദിമ വാസസ്ഥലം വയോമിങ്, മൊണ്ടാന, വടക്കൻ ഡെക്കോട്ടയുടെ ഭാഗങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന, യെല്ലോ നദിയുടെ താഴ്വരയായിരുന്നു. പഴയ മഹാസമതല പ്രദേശത്തു ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന ഈ ആദിമ വിഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ കൂടുതൽ പേരും ഇന്ന് മൊണ്ടാനയിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ റിസർവേഷനിൽ ജീവിച്ചു വരുന്നു. ഏതാനും പേർ പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ യു.എസിലെ പ്രധാന നഗരങ്ങളിലേയ്ക്കു ചേക്കേറിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഈ സമൂഹത്തിൽ സ്ത്രീകൾക്കു ഉന്നത സ്ഥാനമായിരുന്നു കല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്.
