ഇന്ത്യൻ നിയമജ്ഞനും ഗ്രന്ഥകർത്താവും ചരിത്രപണ്ഡിതനുമാണ് എ.ജി നൂറാനി എന്ന് പരക്കെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന അബ്ദുൽ ഗഫൂർ അബ്ദുൽ മജീദ് നൂറാനി (ജനനം:1930 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 16).മുംബൈയിലെ ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ലോകോളേജിൽ നിന്ന് നിയമബിരുദം കരസ്ഥമാക്കിയ നൂറാനി, സുപ്രീംകോടതിയിലും ബോംബെ ഹൈക്കോടതിയിലും അഭിഭാഷകനായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പഴയ തലമുറയിൽ ഇന്നു ജീവിച്ചിരിപ്പുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ ഭരണഘടനാവിദഗ്ദ്ധരിൽ ഒരാളാണ് നൂറാനി.[1]
ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പല പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണങ്ങളിലായി നൂറാനിയുടെ അനേകം ലേഖനങ്ങൾ പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. കാശ്മീരിലെ ഭരണാധികാരിയായിരുന്ന ഷേയ്ക്ക് അബ്ദുള്ളയ്ക്കു വേണ്ടിയും, തമിഴ്നാട് മുൻ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി കരുണാനിധിയ്ക്കു വേണ്ടിയും ചില പ്രമാദമായ കേസുകളിൽ നൂറാനി ഹാജരായിട്ടുണ്ട്.[2].
