ആദ്യത്തെ മോട്ടോർ കാർ നിർമ്മിക്കുകയും പതിനൊന്നു വർഷത്തിനു ശേഷം “ഫോർഡ് മോട്ടോർ കമ്പനി” സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ഹെൻറി ഫോർഡ് 1863-മ് വർഷം ജൂലൈ 30-മ് തിയതി ജനിച്ചു.[1] നല്ലൊരു വ്യവസായിയും ലാഭത്തിൻറെ ഒരു ഭാഗം മനുഷ്യ നന്മയ്ക്കു വേണ്ടി വിനിയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അമേരിക്കയിലെ മിച്ചിഗനിൽ ജനിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു കർഷകനായി ജീവിതമാരംഭിച്ച്. കാർ നിർമ്മാണത്തിനെ തുടർന്ന് ട്രാക്ടറുകളുടെയും, ടാങ്കുകളുടെയും വിമാനങ്ങളുടെയും നിർമ്മാണം ആരംഭിച്ചു.

ജീവിതരേഖ [തിരുത്തുക]
1863-ആം ആണ്ടിൽ ജൂലൈ 30-ആം തീയതി വില്യം ഫോർഡ മേരി ഫോർഡ ദമ്പതിമാരുടെ പുത്രനായി മിഷിഗൺ ജനിച്ചു. ഫോർഡ് തന്റെ ചെറുപത്തിൽ പിതാവിന്റെ വിളനിലത്തിൽ പണിയെടുത്തിരുന്നു. 1879-ൽ തന്റെ പത്തോന്പതാമത്തെ വയസിൽ അദേഹം വീട് വിട്ടു.[1][2]
ഔദ്യോഗികജീവിതം [തിരുത്തുക]
1891-ൽ തോമസ് ആൽവ എഡിസന്റെ എഡിസൺ ഇല്ല്യുമിനേറ്റിങ്ങ് കമ്പനിയിൽ സബ്-സ്റ്റേഷൻ നൈറ്റ് എഞ്ചിനീയറായി ഫോർഡ് ജോലിയിൽ പ്രെവേശിച്ചു. ഇലക്ട്രിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ്ങിൽ തല്പരനായിരുന്ന് ഫോർഡിനു ഇല്ല്യുമിനേറ്റിങ്ങ് കമ്പനിയിലെ ജോലി വളരെയധികം ഇഷ്ടമായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് 1892-ൽ ഫോർഡിനെ ആവിയന്ത്ര മേയ്ന്റനൻസ് എഞ്ചിനിയറായി നിയമിച്ചു.[3] മേയ്ന്റനൻസ് എഞ്ചിനീയർ തസ്തിക ഫോർഡിനു ഗ്യാസോലിൻ ഇഞ്ചിനുകളിൽ കൂടുതൽ പരീക്ഷങ്ങൾ നടത്തുവാനുള്ള അവസരം ലഭിച്ചു.
ഫോർഡ് മോട്ടോർ കമ്പനി [തിരുത്തുക]
1903 ജൂൺ 16-ന് ഹെനറി ഫോർഡ് ഫോർഡ് മോട്ടോർ കമ്പനി രൂപികരിച്ചു. ഫോർഡ് തന്റെ കമ്പനിയിൽ പ്രൊഡക്ഷൻ ലൈൻ സമ്പ്രദായം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. ഇതു വാഹനങ്ങളുടെ നിർമാണസമയം ക്രമാധിതമായി കുറയ്ക്കുകയുണ്ടയി. അതിനാൽ ഫോർഡ് പിന്നീട് ഫാദർ ഒഫ് മാസ് പ്രൊഡക്ഷ്ൻ എന്നറിയപെടുന്നത്.[2] ഹെനറി ഫോർഡ് പിന്തുടർന്ന പ്രവർത്തനരീതി പിന്നീട് ഫോർഡിസം എന്നറിയപെടുന്നത്.[4][5]
