മാംസഭോജികളായ സസ്തനങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു നിരയാണ് കാർണിവോറ (Carnivora) (/kɑːrˈnɪvərə/;. ലാറ്റിൻ ഭാഷയിൽ carō (stem carn-) "മാംസം", + vorāre "തിന്നുക"). 10 കുടുംബങ്ങളിലായി 280 -ലേറെ സ്പീഷീസുകൾ ഇതിൽ പെടുന്നു. സിംഹം, പുലി, ചെന്നായ,നായ, വാൽറസ്, ധ്രുവക്കരടി എന്നിവ ഈ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പെടുന്നതാണ്.

പ്രത്യേകതകൾ

ബലവും മൂർച്ചയുള്ള നഖങ്ങളുണ്ട്. ഓരോ കാലിലും നാലിൽ കുറയാത്ത വിരലുകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും.
