John Obadiah Westwood (22 ഡിസംബർ 1805 – 2 ജനുവരി 1893) ഒരു ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് പ്രാണിപഠനശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനും പുരാവസ്തുശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനും ആയിരുന്നു.

ശാസ്ത്രത്തിലുള്ള താല്പര്യംമൂലം അദ്ദേഹം നിയമപഠനം പാതിവഴിയിൽ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം Frederick William Hope-ന്റെ ശുപാർശയാൽ ഓക്സ്ഫഡ് സർവകലാശാലയുടെ പരിപാലകനും തുടർന്ന് പ്രൊഫസറുമായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. Linnean Society of London-ഇലും Royal Entomological Society-ഇലും അദ്ദേഹം അംഗമായിരുന്നു.

30 ഡിസംബർ 1892-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം തളർന്നുവീഴുകയും തുടർന്ന് അബോധാവസ്ഥയിൽ കിടന്ന് 2 January 1893-ൽ മരണമടയുകയും ചെയ്തു.
