ആദ്യകാല ജീവിതവും കരിയറും[തിരുത്തുക]

ബ്രാഡ്ബ്രൂക്ക് 1972 ൽ ജനിച്ച് വെസ്റ്റ് യോർക്ക്ഷെയറിലെ സൗത്ത് എൽമസാളിലാണ് വളർന്നത്. അവരുടെ അച്ഛൻ സൗത്ത് കിർക്ക്ബിയിലെ ഒരു ഖനിയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. മാഞ്ചസ്റ്റർ സർവകലാശാലയിൽ മോളിക്യുലാർ ബയോഫിസിക്സ് പഠിച്ച അവർ പിഎച്ച്ഡി നേടി. അവർ ഇന്ത്യയിലും ഫ്രാൻസിലും പോസ്റ്റ്-ഡോക്ടറൽ ജോലികൾ ചെയ്തു.[2][5]

2010 നവംബറിൽ 'Fix the Web' എന്ന കാമ്പെയ്‌ൻ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത് ഉൾപ്പെടെ 2003 മുതൽ 2017 വരെ, വികലാംഗരായ ഉപയോക്താക്കൾക്കായി വിപുലമായ ഇന്റർനെറ്റ് ആക്‌സസ് പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഓർഗനൈസേഷനായ സിറ്റിസൺസ് ഓൺലൈനിൽ അവർ 'സ്ട്രാറ്റജി ഡയറക്ടർ' ആയിരുന്നു. [6]

2010 മുതൽ 2013 വരെയുള്ള കാലയളവിൽ ട്രാൻസിഷൻ സ്‌ട്രോഡിന്റെ വോളണ്ടറി ഡയറക്‌ടർ,[8][9] ഫ്രാക്കിംഗ് വിരുദ്ധ പ്രതിഷേധം,[10] പ്രാദേശിക ഇൻസിനറേറ്റർ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നതിനെതിരെയുള്ള വിവിധ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ, ഒരു നഗ്ന പ്രതിഷേധം[11] എന്നിവയുൾപ്പെടെ സ്‌ട്രോഡിലെ വിവിധ പ്രചാരണ ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളിൽ അവർ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. 2016-ൽ, അവർ കോസ്റ്റാറിക്കയിലേക്ക് ഒരു സൈക്കഡെലിക് റിട്രീറ്റിന് പോയി. നരവംശ കാലാവസ്ഥാ വ്യതിയാനത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അപകടങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് അവബോധം വളർത്താൻ ബ്രാഡ്ബ്രൂക്ക് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. വലിയ തോതിലുള്ള നിയമലംഘനത്തിന് മാത്രമേ ആവശ്യമായ മാറ്റം കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ കഴിയൂ എന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു.[20]

2020 നവംബറിൽ അവളെ BBC റേഡിയോ 4 വുമൺസ് അവർ 2020 പവർ ലിസ്റ്റിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി.[21]

ബ്രാഡ്ബ്രൂക്ക് രണ്ടുതവണ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു. ജെഫ്രി ഫോർഷോയെ ആദ്യം വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു.[23] അവർക്ക് രണ്ട് ആൺമക്കളുണ്ട്.[5][24] Extinction Rebellion ന്റെ സഹസ്ഥാപകൻ കൂടിയായ അവരുടെ മുൻ പങ്കാളി സൈമൺ ബ്രാംവെല്ലിനെപ്പോലെ അവർ സ്ട്രോഡിലാണ് താമസിക്കുന്നത്.[25][26]
